Content & Community Coordinator · Thinking About Thinking

Yukti Chopra is a neuroscientist working at the intersection of cognition, wearable neurotechnology, brain-computer interfaces and human-centered brain science. Her work explores how signals from the brain and body can be used to better understand perception, memory, attention and real-world cognitive states.

She has a background in neuroscience and computer science, with research experience spanning psychophysics, EEG, computational modeling and human behavioral experiments. Her doctoral work focused on perceptual biases in working memory, using tactile perception tasks, EEG recordings and computational models to study how recent experience shapes what we perceive and remember.

Her broader interests lie in wearable neurotechnology, biosignal-based sensing and the future of brain-computer interfaces. She is especially interested in how neurotechnology can move beyond the lab and become more useful, interpretable and human-centered in everyday life.

Alongside her research, Yukti writes about neuroscience, AI, consciousness, memory and emerging neurotechnologies, translating complex scientific ideas into accessible stories for a wider audience.
